Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for the use of surveillance cameras during babysitting services provided by Niseko Kids Club in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in our care, while respecting the privacy rights of our staff.
Scope:
This policy applies to all babysitting services provided by Niseko Kids Club, whether in a private residence or a hotel room.
Guidelines:
- The use of surveillance cameras during babysitting services is allowed, but must be approved by Niseko Kids Club and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Cameras should not be placed in areas where a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as bathrooms or changing rooms.
- Anyone who is being filmed must be informed of the presence of the cameras and the purpose of the filming.
- The camera feed should be kept private and not shared with anyone who is not involved in the care of the children.
- All footage should be stored securely and deleted within a reasonable timeframe, not to exceed 30 days.
- Babysitters who are uncomfortable with being filmed should be given the option to decline assignments where surveillance cameras are present.
